Based on a recommendation I read on another forum, I have recently discovered the music of the young (b. 1976) Chinese-American composer Huang Ruo. Right now I'm listening to the 4 Chamber Concertos on this disc:(If you have Amazon Prime you can stream the whole CD from their site). I am really enjoying this music. I find it to be a refreshing mix of the familiar and the exotic. If you like percussion there is a lot here that you will enjoy because he makes very heavy usage of it in most of these works. I'll definitely be looking for more from this composer in the future.
