  1. Kenwood Steam Mop 5000 Problems

Bought it last week. Assembled it today. Tried the floor suction function, seems to work fine. However, it has a heavy head and is not easily maneuverable, would not be able to use it for the whole house.

Able to trap dust in the small canister which fills up quite quickly. I do not think that it should have been designed this way; the suction function is perfunctory and you end up with a heavy head. Then loaded the water compartment and started to use the steam mop function. Halfway in to it, the circuit breaker was triggered. Resetted the breaker and it was triggered again within seconds after the steam mop was turned on.

If not for the safety swicth installed; could have had a nasty / fatal electric shock.Steam mop with a supposedly 2-1 designSuction function cursory, dodgy electrical wiring. I initially bought one from good guys and the steam function wouldn't work out of the box and the water cannister leaked everywhere. I exchanged for another one (good guys gave me no problems) took the replacement home and got it working. The cannister still dripped everywhere. Worked for a couple of weeks.

Handle was way too flimsy for the weight of the unit. Last time I went to use it it just tripped out the power every time which is scary when you have a wet floor and machine. Returned it to the good guys for store credit. They gave it to me but they should not be selling such below par equipment I wasted do much time driving into town to continually deal with it.

Yes it was cheap but should never have been out on the market.Vacuum ok for dustToo heavy for handle, cheap build, leaky and shorts breakers.
